These have been for sale for a while. I don't know if they are actual Recaro seats or if the seller is just mis-using that term generically.

To me they look like cheap crap... but this Recaro link is the most comprehensive guide I've ever seen to identifing recaros
Looks like that link requires registration to view it . I am assuming they are not actual Recaro's, but since they've been languishing on craigslist for a while, I figured I could ask here and get confirmation.
To me they look like Porsche 914 driver's side seats. If so, they could be Recaro.
Dont forget Recaro makes a bunch of oem seats, I believe they even made cars for some German manufacturers.
Yes, those look like 914 seats--- probably made by RECARO. They make most of VW, Audi and Porsche OEM seats.
Yup, as soon as I saw them I thought 914. The mounting bracket also screams 914. Slippery, why do you think they are both driver's side seats? I notice only one has a fore-aft adjustment on it. I'm not saying they aren't, just looking for your insight.

I am not sure I am even right I always thought the passenger side headrest was built onto the cars bulkhead. Or the seat did not slide back and forth.
In reply to Slippery:
Nope. Both seats have headrests.
They are indeed 914 seats and as such are not particularly desirable or at all supportive. I have a pair in storage some where.

I never paid particular attention, but I don't think the headrest is built into the bulkhead. But....I think you're right, I think there is a car out there that has that feature. Sounds familiar.

The Lotus Europa S1 (1st gen) had fixed seats and adjustable pedals.

Sounds like they would be perfect for the Mini. I have a pair of Corbeau seats in there now. The passenger seat is only comfortable for someone with hips the width of a 12 year old Cambodian boy and the wider and comfy driver's seat has a rip in the cover. Not desirable and been for sale for a while may mean getting them for less than the asking price. I don't take the Mini on any really long drives and haven't auto crossed it in years, so not being all that supportive may work for me.
