Are these rotors actually fully floating?

Hey All,

Happy new year. 

I have a quick question, I recently bought the Turner F80 discs for my track car. The fronts are what I expected, and look very clearly fully floating, but the rears have the hats bolted directly to the rotor and doesn't look like it could even be called a semi floating disc.

Any thoughts would be greatly welcomed.

I know it says full floating in the description but in the 'kit contents' section it calls out the fronts as floating and the rears as just 2pc. Which doesn't inherently mean floating.

Doesn't "floating" mean they *must* be free to translate axially? Both of those look like they cannot float in any direction unless the fronts are free to translate to the inside which isn't shown. The fronts might translate radially with thermal expansion, but that isn't typically what is meant by "floating"

I see your point, but right above it is says:

and the description is

It's not even an implication the rears will be floating, it's said twice lol.

Those fronts look like semi-floating and the rears appear to be just two piece rotors.

Looking at the pictures of the backside (#13) it appears that they have a block/spacer that passes through a slot in the the rotor.  Then there's a spring clip on the inside that covers up the slot so you can't see it.

Agreed, that's the front disc (#13) and having handled them my uneducated opinion is that they're floating. 

The rears however have thrown me. It's an expensive disc, and not as light as the girodisc or 034 options. 

I guess the saving grace is the fact the rears won't generate nearly the heat of the fronts, and a heavier disc has more capacity for heat.
