I saw this guy zipping around town today and figured that it was fiberglass for sure. Then he pulled in next to me to drop off his kid for soccer practice. Nice guy and we chatted for quite a while. It's the real deal.
Previous owner was PLN...
Someday i hope to drive something that's insured for more than i am so i can gain insight on economic theory.
Just kidding, cool car.
Nice (and expensive) on its own, add in PLN and it should be even more.
The guy driving didn't have a comedian and a cup of coffee with him, did he?

Nope, not that guy.
Thanks for that - I guess. Every time "his" name comes up, I'm reminded of when I saw him at Riverside before an IMSA race, relaxing in the pits with no one around (it was Practice Friday). I "could have" gone right up to him and talked about how we both started out driving Datsun 1200s but I was too shy.
Which of course then reminds me of how, years earlier, I "could have" gone over to my childhood friend's house and met John Wayne. Didn't do that either, but I can blame that one on my mom because she said it was dinner time.
Than again, there was that time that Hubert Humphrey thought I was an assassin, but that's for another time.
I have a lot of issues...
He rocked a few nice datsuns in his day too. Awesome that the owner of his Porsche actually drives it. Always cool to see cool cars in the wild. I remember one day just walking along and seeing a Super 1600 356 coupe parked on the street and it totally just made my day.

The Secret Service once checked to make sure I wasn't a bomb. Gerald Ford made a campaign stop in Indy. My Mom took all us kids down to the rally, and since I was only a few mints old and all swaddled up in a blanket...
Very nice that the Porsche gets taken out to drop off the kids for school. I approve.
