Fun day! The swap meet was very small, but seemed pretty good quality-wise. I found an original Aurora Thunderjet Buick Riviera slot car atr a Hot Wheels seller's booth for $15, same color/condition sells for $50-$60 on feeBay. 
Bought JJ some new (old) HW's that have opening hoods, a drifting book for my sister, and that's it. I pondered a few speed parts (MSD 6AL, some EFI parts, etc). Couldn't find a pedal car under $150 
JJ loved watching the races, we spent a lot of time in the stands, then went to the pits. Saw Al Unser, Jr.
