I'm wanting to put together a go bag with everything you could need for a nice day at the races. Something I can put everything in and throw in my trunk or back seat and go.

My helmet will take up about half of it, but the other items should stack nicely.

Sunscreen, a poncho, baby wipes, maybe a UV umbrella....

Anybody have anything else to add??

roll of paper towels, hat, and lip balm. and an extra pair of sunglasses.

I usually keep a few non-perishable food type items and a water bottle or two in most bags like that. Other than that, looks like you have the bases covered.

Snacks of some kind- like clif bars or beef jerky?

Edit- just saw HunterBenz beat me to it. Carry on...

The one thing I always forgot to bring was talent!

I kinda wear my bucket hat all the time, lol

But keeping another in the bag isn't a bad idea.

Air pressure gauge and small DC compressor. Minimalist tool set. Fluids for you and the car.

How big is your go bag?

I'm assuming you're not changing tires...

A friend keeps a couple of totes in the trunk of his car with spares/tape/tools/zip ties/fluids/etc.

But for personal care and feeding, I'd say keep it simple and easy. Protection from the elements, hydration, nutrition.

Spare batteries/chargers?

Definitely water bottles & tire pressure gauge.

A roll of tape for making emergency numbers, some windex & paper towels for cleaning windows.

Some zip ties, and a leatherman tool for emergency repairs.

I would also add a torque wrench and at least the socket you need. You don't want one of your wheels to roll off on course.

Wait a sec...in the other thread you posted about women finding racecar drivers sexy, now this. I think you need to be writing a "how-to" guide!

I have a tyga box with a small tool kit, a spare quart of oil, tire gauge, spare lug nuts, rags, spot detailer, gloves, spare boonie hat, sun screen, 2" painters tape, and an old Oxford shirt in a light color for when the sun gets too brutal.

[edit] Oh, yeah, duct tape and electrical tape, a bottle of water, and a flashlight.

I find it's important to bring lots of sun protection.

I'm not hearing much in the way of rain gear. Remember that you can't typically use an umbrella while corner working. Agree with extra socks.

Baby wipes, good for those sunblock getting in your eyes moments and for hand cleanup.

Here is my list.

Numbers
Helmet
Rainsuit (if you always have it, you will probably never see rain!)
Painters Tape
Sunblock
Spare sunblock (I have gingervitis)
extra socks
Racing shoes
knife
Small pack baby wipes
zipties
Ducttape
Length of bailing wire
2 hose clamps
small tool cross section Quart of oil

Ensure you have big hat and sunglasses on your way out the door.

I use an 8 gallon Rubbermaid tote with the one piece lid.

Also something like this. Available at landscape centers and auto parts stores (any brand):

I don't keep my helmet in my equipment box so it doesn't get stuff spilled on it and doesn't get bashed by the jack that is in the box. Here's what I have (note that it has to fit in the trunk, I don't use a tire trailer):

A jack (a medium sized auto parts store one), lugnut wrench, windex, sunscreen, painters tape, roll of paper towels, a few rags, 12V Air Compressor, quart of oil, shelf stable snacks (I like cans of peanuts - they last practically forever and don't melt or freeze)

I keep my fancy air pressure gauge in my glove compartment, again because I don't want it getting bashed around. I figure that if I need real tools that someone else with a trailer will have something much better than what I can fit in my box.
