For a relatively heavy RWD car, which of these tires would you choose? I'm looking to spend the least amount of money combined with the best performance. 200TW only
- Kumho Ecsta V730
- Falken Azenis RT615K+
- Falken Azenis RT660
- Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3
- Hankook Ventus R-S4
List is in order of cheapest to most expensive. Other options are available but get into the silly money category
What are your goals? Do you want to be competitive, or you just want to be out there having fun? If you want to be competitive, none of the choices in your list will be good for you. If you just want to have fun, then get the cheapest tire. I do know that the Ventus will last forever, but it's kind of a terrible autocross tire.

Does the car have camber? How long are the courses? V730s are probably the fastest but they tend to struggle with durability on heavy, camber challenged cars. The goodyears might be the best overall choice if your courses are long enough/runs are in quick enough succession to get them hot.
Some of those listed are in the GRM track tire guide which may be worth a read.

I'd like to be as competitive as possible but this is a GRM Challenge car that I'm not likely keeping, so money is an object.

Challenge courses are usually ~50 seconds. We won't be able to get much camber. Typically we can't hop lap during timed runs (fun runs yes we can).
My autocross buddies would all tell you #3. I'll be curious to see what others say.
I think the v730 is the most pace per $ though the rt660 might be okay depending on size/sales
Does longevity matter?
If not, I don't think the rs4 should be on the list. They are quick-ish and last forever. I'm pretty sure they are slower than the 660.
What about the 660+?
What tire size?

I assumed cheap meant long term cost, not just for a single event or two. If that's the case and up front cost and initial pace are all that matters then the RT660 comes back into the mix, but also the V730 durability risk goes away. In that case I'd probably go with whichever one of those two is cheaper, unless there's rain in the forecast.
I looked up pricing, I always forget how crazy cheap V730s are. For like 75% the price of any of the other options that's the obvious choice.
RT660+
Same price range as the outgoing RT660, but substantially quicker. Faster than any other tire on that list.
Almost as fast as the pointy-end Super 200's.

That's what I said! Lolz.
