On sealed beams:

The quad sealed beams on my Power Wagon are VASTLY superior than the terrible excuse for headlights on my old 1997 Dakota. I had upgraded bulbs and the housings were clean. They output as much light as a pair of freebie Harbor Freight flashlights with old mismatched batteries.

I do prefer modern lighting if it's done right (like our CX-50) but not everything is created equal in that respect. Sealed beams aren't that bad.

I can see all sides of the story.  The cool matrix LED stuff over in Europe is insane cool tech.

At the same time...a well designed set of halogen H4s or 9006/9005 duals does well enough (yes I know there is plenty of other bulbs out there) .  At the very least...offer both styles and make the car be fine with either (obviously cannot do matrix stuff with halogens) but still get down the road.
