2000 avalon, she gets up and goes, really quite well, 0 to 60 checked at 7.8 to 8.2 seconds. Looking at better shocks and springs.

TRD made a supercharger for the 1MZ-FE, I don't see why it wouldn't fit the Avalon...
Oh right, shocks and springs. Not much out there for Avalons other than Godspeed MonoMaxx coilovers. They're an alright entry-level coilover and they're most likely going to be a lot better than lowering springs on OEM Avalon struts.
I had an Avalon of that generation. It was the nicest Buick Lesabre that I ever had.
All the suspension is shared with the same era Camry so there is a little aftermarket out there.
I like those cars! But i like an ES330 a few years newer even better. 3.3/5spd auto. Heck, they're all good.
The cool thing about hot-rodding an Avalon is that cutting springs and retrofitting a big rear swaybar from some other vehicle isn't ghetto because there is no aftermarket.
Could maybe do a manual swap with a Camry or Solara donor?
I bet you could find a QA1 shock that would fit and have Eaton Detroit custom wind some springs to the application. I've thought about this a few times because the Avalon/ES300 has always had decent get up and go, but was a little weak in the corners.
do they mention the prototype OS Giken lsd that's in that car? pretty sure it's on coilovers... I wonder if they can be adapted to the earlier platform?

I love that Toyota Engineering has race team and that the Youtube channel has 24 (now 25) subscribers. But that 2GR-powered Avalon is a lot less Buick-like than the OPs 2000 model. The front strut mount / bearings were a weak spot on those early Avalons. Jack it up and see if you have a lot of play there -- if it's wandering around like most of them do, that's an easy and cheap way to improve the handling.
I like the old Avalons. I have two engineers tha work for me that own them. They hate cars and they own four of them!
I have been looking at newer ones and they look like a very good alternative to some of the much more well known luxury cars of the similar year.

no, although checking their online tool... which doesn't even allow you to select 'avalon' from the models list... has nothing for the camry of that vintage, either.
ymmv

Why I suggested calling Lee.
