BABE signup deadline approaching

Just a quick reminder that the BABE Rally 2009 cut off date for entries is 30th April - and its looming large now!

This year there are strict drop dead dates when they won't accept further entries so be warned. If you want in, do it sooner than later is all I can say.

Its looking like this year we have journalists from Vanity Fair jumping in with teams. Yes, I said Vanity Fair, although I'm not sure why, but they are very interested.

It really looks like a good year with a great mix of new and old teams and alot of participation for the newly formed American Iron class as well.

And lets not forget this year we end with a drag racing duel against the Lemons teams. So come on the rally, watch Lemons, race against them, its all shaping up to be a really great time.

I can't wait! I'll be working on the turd this weekend. I'll be documenting everything for all the world to see. I just hope I can get rid of the smell.

The smell just adds to the character.

Actually that's one of the reasons I've started using convertibles...easier to air them out.

Car gets painted this weekend...hopefully

I hope to get rid of my oil leaks, figure out why it starts up so rich (causing it to flood occasionally), and figure out why it idles so high, and clean it our this weekend. I'm thinking paint might be coming next weekend.

Yeah, I didnt want to bust his chops too bad...and the results were worth it. Actually for being a roller job our oldsmobile looks rather good....I apologize in advance for making my car too nice.

I was all ready to go until the dates got moved around and I don't have enough vacation time this year to go.
