I've actually had the time to play with the car a bit. A few notable things...
- the Roadstersport Race exhaust had the optional glass-packed baffle installed in the tailpipe when I bought the car. Goodwin has a dyno chart showing a +8hp pickup vs. stock with this exhaust, but it loses most of that with the baffle in. So of course, for science, I took the baffle out. I'm not sure if it actually has more power because the power was great before, but I actually like the sound even better now. It really doesn't sound any louder to me, just better tone.
- The Ohlins shocks have a single knob to adjust compression and rebound damping, and I hadn't messed with it since buying the car. For the past few days I was thinking that the suspension was quite livable for something that's marketed as street/track use. Well, today I played with the damping and found that the shocks had been set to 5 clicks away from full hard (there's a 30 click range). I set them at 15 clicks on all corners and maaaaaaan.... what a difference. I now like this suspension as much as the stock suspension on my 981 Cayman, the ride is amazing even on rough roads and it still corners great. Will continue to tweak.
