One of the world's great races is on this weekend: the Bathurst 1000 on Mount Panorama. Not just Fords and Holdens this year, we've got a whole mix of new cars to watch.
The top 10 shootout starts at midnight Mountain time, and the race itself at 5:30 Mountain on Saturday. I'll let you guys figure out what time that is for you
Nobody ever talks about Mountain time...

God I love that track. It's top 5 on my bucket list, probably top 3.
Ah poop, looks like it's subscriber streaming this year. Last year, it was live on YouTube.
I don't know how often you get a chance to drive the track at speed. But I agree, it's way up there on the bucket list.
I remember in 2011 it was on Speed right before the Japanese Grand Prix. I had never watched it before, and it was really exciting to watch. Made for a whole night full of good racing. Is there any legal way to watch it now for free?
Not that I can tell. However, you can sign up for a season pass at V8SuperView for $15 that gets you both live streaming and replay. That's about the price of a hotdog and a coke if you were actually at the race
While I preferred the free YouTube stream last year, I might pony up to watch this one.
It is tempting. That is a heck of a race to watch.
That is very tempting......such an awesome track.
That used to be a fairly "deadly" race.......nice to see Nissan back in the mix!
Ooh, Bathurst!
Any mention of Bathurst and I have to watch this again, at least a few times:

Not the best resolution, but...

Good resolution (and replay ability) on the official subscription stream. They say they have 160 cameras!
One car is out after hitting a kangaroo. Welcome to Australian racing.

Plenty of popup ads to fight as well on that link, but it's a fun race to watch.
Go full screen and they don't bother you.

I can take the pop-ups with the free feed.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)
At least the audio is better than the resolution...

Except on a Mac (which doesn't play well with Flash ads) they keep piling up until they slow the computer down and the video gets choppy.
Holy cow. How does this race keep delivering amazing finishes? Over 6 hours of racing, and it comes down to the last lap. Again. Never mind the fight for third. My bladder is going to explode, I haven't been able to leave the couch.
Yep, another great finish, even if a Ford won... ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)
It was totally amazing finish and the last 20 laps was some of the best racing I've seen in a while. It was very fun to watch. Reminds me why I enjoy V8 Supercars so much.
The season feed is really pretty cheap and well worth it for the video quality. I just plugged the laptop into the big screen and steamed it into the TV. Just like watching it on Cable without the commercials.
Same here - streamed it to the big screen. I swear there was more racing in those last 20 laps than there's been all season in F1. After 6 hours, the top 5 cars are within 5 seconds of each other, and they're literally knocking each other's mirrors off.
The season feed gets you replay rights too, so I can show Janel the finish from Bathurst as well as watch the earlier races from the season. I might have to make a habit of this. Looking forward to the Gold Coast race!
It was great when they broadcast on YouTube last year. I could watch it through the XBox on my tv.
It sucks that they are not coming back to COTA next year though :( I totally enjoyed the entire weekend at COTA this year.
Oh well. Looks like I'll be getting the 2014 season pass too.
