I like the less shiny version with the cream wheels best.
+1, I love matte finish...not necessarily primer (though I admit to rocking the Prime-alier ...my 90 cavalier missing a majority of its paint - for years before getting off my duff about it). Sport Compact Car had a black primer 09 WRX sedan with white wheels, which I find to be a similar looking sedan in terms of size etc, and I still make the o-face when I see that car.
This Audi is O-face approved!
Overall, great job on the look and the writeup, and I think Per needs to take note whenever the next rally project car needs a new paint job!
Don't you guys know who this guy is....
That booting thread was fantastic.

Now I want to do this to an old Impreza rallycross toy. Seems like the perfect finish to thwart all those flying rocks.

There has been a Dodge Quad cab at the auction for the last 3 months. It was a demo for a bed liner company. It's the fugliest thing you can imagine, and the guy wants wayyy too much money for it. It's fun to watch people who are seeing it for the first time.
looks the thread is closed on the parking boot fiasco
Aw dude I'm a huge fan! I read all the way through your APS thread and the bedlining thread! I always said you should come over here after seeing you take abuse from the 'tards on VWvortex, and you finally did!

ok I'll take back the meh if it annoys the purist types. Seems to be about the same cost as materials if you painted a car yourself - just without the need for spray equipment.
so I am not a member of vortex, and it sounds like I dont want to be...can someone paste the details, I got to the point where the car got pushed into the garage on dollys.

read the cleaned up version on Lexus forum, none of the intermediate posts, only the updates, very nice...

I like it so much better with the new wheels.
The fact that it is so practical in terms of heat and noise (as well as cleanliness) makes it a complete victory.
Very cool.

Saw this on supraforums, seems like a great idea for a dedicated rallyX car! I have a few buddies with bedlined rock crawlers and its a very cool look

here ya go brudda
FWIW, looks like a majority of the story can be found at vdub vortex - you have to register to view it, and gauging from the stories of tyranny and assault I hear on the GRM forum, Fidel Castro's forum for volkswagen and audi fans is not somewhere Id like to be.
I would be tempted to bedliner the grey parts of an outback... give the underside some real protection.
I am going to look into it for the floors of the fiat...

I am registered at vwvortex, and still couldn't read the thread after logging in ("You are not authorized to read this forum."). I guess the mods are taking themselves seriously again.
Yeah, there's a reason I came over here...and it's not because most of the people on the A2 forum are spending more time bashing Hondas than talking about their VWs.
Well, okay, maybe that is part of it...
