Me want. Kind of a poor man's 911...if you drive it in reverse.

Is it any better than a regular Beetle? Or is just badges? (we don't need no stinkin' badges...)

Looks like a crossfire that has eaten too many beer brats.

Are 20" wheels really necessary? I'm ready for the huge wheel trend to end. Otherwise, yeah, I kinda like it.

I saw one for sale recently. A regular 2.0 and the data sheet said 20 mpg city. REALLY!

I'm really digging the 2012 Golf R, but not sure I'd pay $34k for it.

Or a 1g TT that someone made fatter that costs 3 times as much as a 1g TT

$34k for it.

Wow, that's a value proposition right up there in Fiat500-land..

The Fiat is under $20k for a fun funky Italian car. How is that bad value?

I just want VW to make the Beetle rear engine again. A ~175hp RR is not a threat to 911 sales, I swear it.

It is a threat to the safety of girls aged 16-26, who are the market of these cars, despite all attempts by VW to change that.

I like how it looks, lose the porky wheels, give it AWD and a good motor and it might be interesting.

Well, it looks like a Golf, but the Golf R, fits the other requirements.

That's the "new" new beetle body, they all look like that.

My co-worker has one. Yes, female in her 30's. She bought the first one the local dealer got. Non-turbo. It's much less flowery and roses than the first one was. Pretty nice inside actually. I didn't drive it, but she says she loves it. She's a car girl, so she's not evaluating it on how cute it looks in the driveway. She actually enjoys the drive.

But she's had it for about a month and it's already been to the dealership twice for warranty issues...

I think it looks more like an AC beetle of days or yore. I actually like it.
