So, Keith's B/Miata/LSx mashup might be my favorite car ever built. I am currently in need of a delivery/runner for my bread business (oh E36 M3 I started a build thread for the business like years ago and forgot about it and I have so much to catch up on) and my dad happened to mention a Morris Minor in dinner conversation (yes our dinner conversations are awesome because we are awesome) and now with a tall bourbon in me I'm thinking that a Morris Minor delivery van on a Miata rollerskate with an LSx might be the bestest thing ever done on four wheels.
Tell me why I'm wrong.
Actually, semi-coherent rambling aside, I'm quite interested in a Minor. Eventually, anyway. A cool vintage shop vehicle is a justifiable expense as advertising for the business, with the requisite branding, of course. What is there to know about those things?
In the mean time I'll probably get an xB and make V8 sounds in my head. Or maybe out loud.

It's not a Miata, it uses half a V8, and it's a Sunbeam instead of a Morris, but maybe this will inspire you...

First, I'm flattered.
And I've heard of a Morris/Miata hybrid before, believe it or not. The Beardmore brothers in the UK were building one, I don't know if it ever got finished. The web page is dead, but the Archive has it.

While looking for that, I found another one that had been built and very well documented in Texas as well as a picture of one in a UK museum that also had a Miata interior. The trick to finding these threads is to remember that anyone who has a Morris Minor probably calls the Miata an MX-5!

Neither car has a V8, but they should give you some pretty good ideas on the rollerskate side of things.
The beardmore site worked up for me just now.: http://www.beardmorebros.co.uk/index.html
It would be a shame for the site to go down - very inspirational!
While the site might be up, there's no mention of the car in question. I apologize if my post was misleading. If you want to read about the car, you can use the link in my post.
My bad. Fascinating build of the Miata/Minor.
