We were building a challenge car for him at work. It's a 95 crammit. I have been thinking that a good way to honor him would be to try and work out a deal, finish it, and do the challenge to honor his memory. We'll see how it goes but I talked with him about it and he said it would make him happy.

Damn, this is E36 M3ty news. It always hurts to lose a chunk of knowledge and skill from the community.

Brian and I didn't discuss livery that I can remember (it's been a little weird around here) but I'm intrigued.

It's an odd thing to remember... but I think he used to be 72SuperBrian or something close to that on here before settling in as M030.

My thoughts are with his family tonight.

He actually introduced me to grm. We met while working at a volvo store. He was doing sales and I was a tech, every time I walked past his desk, this forum was up on his computer. I asked Him about it and the rest is history.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning at 10:00 that I can not bug out from but I am having one of my guys come with me so I can bug out once the formalitys are over. I am then heading to see him if he makes the night.

I have spoken to his wife via text and will obviously talk more tomorow. This is a drive I knew was comming that I really don't want to make but really want to make. I know that sounds strange. I am going to be a wreck on the way down but will get my game face on before I go in to see him.

Brian and I shared the bond of the big C. We had some conversations that only those that face there own mortality can have. I know he helped me and I hope I helped him.

As for the cramit. I am in. He and I talked and texted and e-mailed about it. I have those so I can go back and may be they will help.

Who am I kidding I am a wreck now. Brian and I shared alot as we had alot in common.

He is a good friend that also happened to be here on GRM.

Brian and I use to spend hours on the phone bouncing ideas for challenge projects off each other.

Just dam it. Dam it dam it dam it. I want to go out side and scream as loud as I can hoping to fill the void for a fraction of a second.

Checker checker checker. This really hurts.

That Brian had this "big c" condition explains how he ended up with such a hot wife.

I was thinking I might go down tomorrow too so maybe we can meet up. Brian always spoke Very highly of you.

So sorry to hear it. I'm relatively local, let me know if there's anything I can do to help - with projects or otherwise.

I also work for a company that is trying to change cancer care through genomics - if anyone wants more information, I'll try my best, but I just keep the robots working.

Brian and I were bouncing another idea for a challenge car.

We were going to see about getting a 04 or earlier A6. Either a 2.7tt Or a 4.2. An s-line would be best. Then completely gut it to race car spec. Cut the springs or get ones to lower it due to the reduced weight.

We were keeping this a kind of secret as we were just going to show up with it. It is alot less of building a challenge car as it is taking a car apart to make a challenge car.

The proceeds made by selling off the interior and other parts would go to funding either more power or handling or both.

Brian and I share a life long love for all things Porsche and VW so the A6 was the natural choice. We argued a bit about the starting weight and if we could get enough weight out of the car. We never finalized this as the cramit took center stage and the A6 idea was shelved.

It's really nice to hear about the thoughts and times shared between you all. I think that's how you know that this big rowdy GRM crowd is a family, knowing that sharing it here, we'll understand and be there however we can.

Godspeed Brian, and everyone.

I'm too far away to pick up a wrench, but I might be able to send some part/project money soon if someone wanted to take the reins on this one.
