They are doing all the right things at this stage of the project when all you want to do is be "Done".

Wonder if any of the bodywork-in-progress is going to be put on YouTube?

Wonder what the color is going to be?

Assuming that a finished engine and gearbox have been waiting for some time so we wont have to live through that.

They turned the radiator fan on and it was blowing out the cowl vent,.

Except for the turbo they haven't got yet, or the charge cooler, or the interior panels and carpeting...

That's what I thought I saw.

The cowl vent will be high pressure at speed and if that is where hot engine bay air finds its easiest exit, that won't be good for cooling airflow.

I had a similar thing with the V8 Firefly cowl open to the engine bay and closed to the passenger compartment. Never overheated in traffic, but got a bit warm on the highway. Cowl pressure counters the rad flow.

I love this project but isn't it going to overheat?... Even without the bad engine bay airflow.

I want to know why any air at all would be going through the cowl louvers after they put that water collection pan under it...

It wasn't sealed to the cowl. Just sort of a rain catch pan under it.

I totally did not think about the high pressure at the cowl. Good points above. Maybe there will be a big stonkin hole in the hood yet.

Its okay.  From experience, that fan is garbage, and with all the not-room behind it once there is a turbo in the way, it will overheat mercilessly regardless.

BOM, prove me wrong!

Disclaimer:  I expect high horsepower cars to cool sufficiently when it is 95 degrees outside, wheras the BOM guys would need it to cool when it is about 20-25 degrees tops.  (If people want to compare gross HP vs. net HP on an even keel, then I will compare Fahrenheit vs. Celsius on an even keel too, dammit!  Also 25C is 77F)

Holy E36 M3, they *removed* a bracket. Mind blown.

I did halfway expect them to roll the shell off camera, then cut to a fabricated paint booth and begin the body work on the other side of the shop.

There's still plenty of fettling left to do after paint. I expect at least another 10 episodes. cheeky

Probably right , but  I liked the fabrication , CAD patterns , angle grinders etc ,

Will they show the restoration of the Toyota running gear etc ?

I expect hey are now making some pocket change out of the series, so they have no reason to not post every step of the process. Why would they want to end things at this point?

I can see another half dozen episodes, or thereabouts.  There is still quite a bunch of work to do, then there is the first drive, then there is a whole bunch of stuff to do, then there is an extended drive over a few weeks, then there is a bunch of work to do.

Then, it won't be anywhere nearly as nice to drive as they had hoped, and it will get auctioned at whatever Barret  Jackson is called in England.

Sometimes I think you deliberately make things more complicated than they need to be.

Compared to years prior, it feels like they've released a lot more this year.

I believe they've not only started seeing some okay-ish compensation from the videos, but also would like to get it done and over with at this point.
