Haynes manual says, "put hose on bleeder, loosen bleeder, push in pedal, tighten bleeder, etc", but I'll be damned if I can find the bleeder screw. Brief googling says the release cylinder is inside the bellhousing. How the berkely does one go about bleeding the clutch if it's in there?

Doesn't the bleeder poke out of the bellhousing?
I've never done an LS1 F-body (the LT1 bellhousing has an external slave cylinder) but the C5 Corvettes just have a really long bleeder screw that pokes out. Still a PITA.
Drill a hole in the trans tunnel on the driver's side at about the 9:30 position, IIRC. NO way in hell are you going to get it bled without an arm with 3 elbows and the diameter of a straw.
Search the manual transmission forum on LS1Tech for the super duper correct answer. I know there is a bunch of threads covering this very topic there.

Thanks, Brian. I think I found what I needed at LS1Tech.
