This could go in our thread on brown cars, but I think it's cool enough to merit its own discussion. Bring back the mighty station wagon!

As the owner of a BMW Touring (their former parlance for "wagon"), I can honestly say I would never buy this thing. Wow...that's almost as ugly as the X6.
Poor Scott! I told you all that touching yourself was eventually going to make you go blind!
Sorry, put me in the "horribly butt ugly" camp.
Now the new Z4 on the other hand........
Looks like the love child of an X6 and a Saab 9000. Ewwwww, and I'm the biggest BMW fanboi on the board.
having seen the X6 in the flesh.. I am sure this will look better in real life than in a picture.
Kind of reminds me of an old lancia beta sedan

Former owner. I need a DD wagon so I can mod my other wagon.
You can keep the truck.
But yes, that thing is HIDEOUS. It's actually just the windshield height that's killing the vibe.
I hope that is not a put down on the 318ti.. you will find that model rather loved here
Not at all, just pointing out that there is some resemblance and that this execution of that design looks unpleasant

I can see that resemblance, although this BMW thing is nowhere near as pretty as the old Lancia.
Rather, it looks pig-faced and bloated, with dismal rear visibility.
Next to this BMW the SD1 is just plain gorgeous. The proportions are all wrong and that big crease down the side makes it look like the assembly line got sideswiped and the plant manager decided just to go ahead and spray 'em anyway.
Blech. We need a 'puke' emoticon.
