I really do not want to change the dynamics of a successful package, I have ordered KYBs and will report on how they work out.

Bob, I can;t lower the car with sport springs, it will cause me to drag on the ground when I have a "Larger" load on board. I discovered this with my old Town Car, dragged its exhaust 70% of the way to Columbus with sports springs, they came out that night.

I had that problem with my 02's stock springs. One person in the backseat and it would ride on the bumpstops. I tried putting the Hatchback rear springs in but they were still super soft. H&R's held it up better than the stockers with rubber spring spacers.

The Elantra deals with my err, heavier loads, with ease, the springs are very good overall, it's just the shocks that always felt weak

Yeah, there's a lot of differences between the older and newer. BAck then, the stock shocks were fairly decent, but the springs were 1980's Lincoln Town Car soft. Now it's like they got the springs figured out but can't get the shocks right! The Forte is the same way. Great spring rates, terrible shocks.

You just got this car! Like a few years ago! I think you can go after the guy in the P1800 Volvo for mileage. Go......
