Headed out there on Friday, besides the heat and LOTS of sun block, what should I expect?
Danny Thompson from (these days) right here in Ridgway, Colorado, is going after the piston-powered LSR in his father (Mickey Thompson)'s 1968 streamliner. Last year he ran 435, then lost a motor on the return run. Fingers crossed for this year.

Was supposed to go last year but he blew the engine on the dyno a couple days before the event.
Hope you have some down time in the help to look around at all the other cars and motorcycles that are out there- there are some amazing creations at Bonneville. And we found that every single team is excited to talk about their project- unless they are doing some emergency surgery on the car- which does happen.

Some of the push vehicles,haulers,and other stuff around that aren’t racing are just as cool and sometimes maybe cooler at land speed events. He is a cool vehicle a modified GMC Motorhome push vehicle.
