I need a borescope to get into a sparkplug hole on one of my motorcycles. Anybody have a recommendation for good/cheap/small? Has anyone used the Harbor Freight unit? The two models they sell at my local Home Despot don't have small enough lenses to fit a spark plug hole, unfortunately. For the record, I need something that will fit in a 12mm plug hole, at maximum, and ideally more like 10mm.
Milwaukee makes a reasonably priced unit. It fits into spark plug holes.

Hmm. Do you happen to know if they make more than one model? Because the only one I saw was resolutely big on the lens end, and won't fit in a bike plug hole.
(I edited my above post for dimensions required.)
Did you ever find a cheap one that worked?

At this price, everybody should have one of these in their toolbox...

Bookmarked. I'm getting one of those when I get paid.
Can the escorts paddle a canoe?
In reply to erohslc:
That one has a 6cm min focal distance--that means everything less than 2.5" away will be blurry. How bad it is hard to say, but for tight spaces that will limit it significantly. For general use I'm sure it is ok, but I'm not sure you'd see scoring on cylinder walls. Blown pistons though I'm sure :)
Oh well, BTTDB (Back To The Drawing Board).
Seems like the need for a cheap WebCam on a stick with a short focal distance lens shouldn't be hard to fill. Anybody with pacific rim trading experience want to start up a company?

Secs say "Len’s Outer Diameter: 14mm " so wont fit OP's plug hole. I have one made by Rigid with a 17mm camera on the end. It does limit its use. I cant say how much it was, it was given to me with a broken elecrtical commection pin. A little safety wire as a replacement solved the problem.
Something like this?
The tip is 8.2mm, and it come with a mirror (reflector tube) attachment (9.7mm dia) for looking sideways.

The dental cameras look good, but none of them seem to specify the size of the probe.
It's a bit more $$, but gawd, those sample pictures are awesome.

I have the harbor freight one. Bought it for the Miata. Sadly, the head is too large to go into the spark plug hole. Same with the mirror on the tip. Good scope otherwise.
