Yep. I remember watching that video when it was supposed to be the hot new thing. I think those Lexus's were still new at the time....

I always thought that was pretty awesome and wanted it to come to market. Kinda surprised those demo cars are still around and running.

IIRC after 20+ years and $100m+ spent on development, it is still extremely heavy and very expensive to produce. It's an interesting concept but like many cool engineering studies, ultimately pretty impractical.

One of my sales guys worked for them specifically trying to sell their seats to the OE market, none of them would spec the seats as they were so expensive. Same with the suspension, everyone wants the tech but no one wants to pay the price for development.

Can you get them in stereo?

So, it'll be OK on moderately bumpy roads, but crap on really smooth roads or really rough ones?
