I'd post this over at Classic, but the response rate here is usually stronger.
I have a customer with a '68 Galaxie with a dead booster. He has a spare dead one as well. It's the 11 1/2" booster, and none are available through the regular parts distribution services. He ordered one from one of the chain stores a couple months ago. They charged his card, but still haven't delivered. Refunding his card has been as slow as getting the part. 
He'd like me to send one of his out to be rebuilt. At least then we know they would have a core to work with.
So, any recommendations for a brake booster rebuilder? Anyone know if any GRM/Classic advertisers that offer that service?

I've got my Mini's brake booster sitting in a box in the basement. It was fairly cool when it would let brake fluid into the intake during hard stops. Made quite a smoke screen. I've been driving the car without a brake booster for the past 8 years or so now. I am interested in the response to this thread as well, since I do not want to buy a new booster, but this one would be nice to put back on the car someday since it was a Cooper or Cooper S only part.
I've heard of Booster Dewey, but don't know anyone that's used him.
How about a bump for the day crowd?

Boosters must have some sort of almost automatic-transmission-level black magic aura about them.
I'm also hoping somebody has more info.
Funny, looks like Booster Dewey's about two miles from my house. Doesn't look like he does imports, though...
No luck yet. I've disassembled boosters in the past to see what's in them, and it's not terribly exciting.
Just talked to my machine shop, and he's used Booster Dewey. Looks like I'll be giving him a call next.
