So continuing to gather parts to rebuild the suspension and brakes on my 93 Civic once my garage is done and trying to make sure that I get the right parts.

For the front, if I understand right the parts I need are a CRV/Odssyssey/ITR/etc caliper, modified bracket, the stock knuckles since it is an EX, Mini Cooper rotors, 1in master cylinder.

For the rear, I need rear disc spindles, EP3 calipers and rotors with 99-00 Si e-brake cable.

Plus pads and lines. Is this all correct or am I missing anything? This setup should fit under 15in wheels right?

Years of racing Civics -- We run '95 Integra GS-R front brakes, Integra (or Civic w/ABS) rear brakes (get the whole trailing arm,) Integra master cylinder / prop valve.  It all bolts on, other than switching out or splicing one of the hardlines at the master cylinder.  Fits under 15" wheels no problem.  Brakes for days, unless you have a LOT more power.

OMG odyssey front caliper will be egregiously oversized for a civic

Depending on the year, it's the same caliper as the Integra/Accord/Prelude.

For the front, yes, if you currently have 10.3" brakes then the 08 Mini 280mm rotors and ITR calipers will bolt up using ITR pads.   We had fine results with a 15/16" master too.  For the rear we just used same gen Integra stuff which all bolted right up.

First gen Odyssey and CRV and ITR are the same caliper.

Cool. I will need to modify the caliper bracket right?

I didn't.  Literally bolted up like stock.

Ok cool. I was reading that you had to grind them back 3mm but that was for using redrilled Prelude rotors.

Correct if you use the redrilled prelude rotors that fastbrakes, you need to modify the bracket, the flipside is the prelude rotor matches the ITR with it being 282mm vs 280mm. With the mini cooper rotor, you can use TSX pads and you shouldnt have pad overrun whereas the ITR pads and mini cooper rotor you get like 2mm overrun.

You are also correct on the rear brakes. Make sure you reuse the ebrake hardware like the cable brackets and springs off an Integra/EM1 vs the RSX/EP3 hardware. It should all bolt up.  And you need to bleed the brakes upside down. It's easier to do if you have the harbor freight brake bleeder that uses an air compressor hook up.

If you can score ITR rear calipers instead for a good deal I would go for them over the EP3/RSX setup.

I noticed on Rockauto that they have refurbished Type R spec calipers. Are they actually Type R or equivalent and are they any good?

If it is the rears, I don't know honestly. From what it seems people have gotten Type R spec rears on Rockauto before though, but it was always hearing it second hand.

Seems they only have front which makes sense since other Honda vehicles have them.

Will probably just run standard Integra rears.

Typically rears don't need more than pads and stainless lines in my experience  with other fwd's.

Oh ok, if its the fronts, there might be differences with the brake bracket used, I would get the ITR ones since they should come with the 23t bracket. The ITR spec bracket and possibly the Prelude used 23t bracket, and some cars like the Acura CL V6 used the 25t. Acura Legends used the 28t.

I believe the bracket corresponds with the rotor thickness and the Mini Cooper rotor is 22mm so the 23t bracket off the ITR just works. Though I've heard of the 25t working too, though I never tried it or had a chance to compare.

I ran the larger rears on my non Type R Integra to match the ITR braking system because my I had acquired the ITR ABS ecu and ITR prop valve.

How I do it...

Front:

280mm mini rotors, drill/tap the securing bolt no lug spacers or whatever. Accord calipers and brackets no modifications, TSX pads. Trim dust shields as required.

Rear:

Ep3 rotors, caliper brackets, and pads. Mill/grind locating nubs off inboard pad. Occasionally have to take a little pad material off. You'll never wear out a set of HP+ on the back of a Honda so this is a one time annoyance one I find much more tolerable than upsidedown bleeders.

Also the 15/16 Integra master is fine with this setup don't kill/bankrupt yourself looking for an ITR master
