One "issue" that should be mindful of is center of gravity.

You are taking a high truck, and adding a 2000-4000lb mass above the axles.

Thankfully, most of these trucks were designed with that in mind, and relative to an actual full truck, this mass is lower than a truck full of 2000lb of shoes.

If it were me, I would go more toward a low bed than the high bed in the Motoiq article. but that's my preference. All of them are a good idea.

IMO you still cant drive one of them as fast as a truck with a trailer on the back roads/on ramps. Our solo timing truck is one of these and I've had it on 2 wheels a couple times (both a single side of wheels and a single axle of wheels).
