So the guy I bought my Crown Vic from had another little toy which keeps haunting me. I really want it for no good reason.
1979 Z28, in tan with brown Z28 stripes. All original, one owner, 59k. With A/C and oh yeah, a 4 speed :)
Do want.
Sharing for no particular reason other than I know there are other weirdos here who might appreciate it.
I like it!
I've seen quite a few cars that look good in brown, most recently there is a new Lincoln SUV in my neighborhood that looks like metal flake root beer brown. Good choice if I do say so.
You should buy that.
I had a '77 T/A in brown, I like that color.
Don't recollect ever seeing that color/ combo before, at least it didn't register w/ me at the time... but damn that's a nice car.
Had a '79 Z-28, black on black w/ gold stripes, mullet delete. Little nose heavy.
That is really sweet. I used to think all brown cars were poopy. But I've grown to really like brown, mostly on cars from the late 70's.
Miss my '79 280ZX some times. Would definitely consider another brown one when the time comes to start looking for an earlier Z.

Yeah, if I had an open garage bay I'd probably be in a lot of trouble with the wife. I do want it soo very much.
He doesn't expect it to sell soon so maybe come spring I'll have cleared out some space and scraped up some money...
Looks more like beige than brown to me. I used to own a '71 Catalina that was a similar color combination.
Nice. My dad had a '78 Camaro, but it wasn't a Z28.
I'm one of those wierdos.... I love cars of that era!
it even comes with what looks to be period correct brown sunglasses..
here is a youtube video of one with the same color scheme, but with the addition of the factory installed shower option (they called them "t tops" on the official order forms)..

aah, brings me back to the day of... target motors
My wife wants it. It would look good next her '81 Z28 (maroon with the same color seats and panels - brown dash, though). Where and how much?

And the original am/fm radio? How could it still have the original push button radio? That was the first thing we would do - rip out the delco radio & put a cassette deck in. But it has resisted them all - cassette, cd, aux input.
Nice clean car! I was working in a Chevy dealership during that time period and remember a few with the tan/beige-ish combo. The inverse color combination of dark brown with light stripes was more common and totally in style in that era.
Most were automatics but the 4 speed helped them feel quicker than they were and made for good fun!
my wife owned a 1979 Camaro Berlinetta - it had a dark brown exterior and the same light brown interior.
the seats didn't recline and I had an awful time driving it.

Dang, that's awesome. The only thing I don't like is the tacked on anti door ding molding. Otherwise, that is a sweet. Any idea how much he's asking?

I love brown cars. Some reason I've always wanted a brown duster with some sort of orange stripe on the side.
