The Falken 615 is easy on the wallet, but I'm concerned about hot performance. Is this an issue? If so, what other budget tires are good? The Toyo R888 is what I would like, but I'm looking for something cheaper.

Track-track or autocross-track? I remember Per loving pretty hard on those NT-01s, but I haven't tried them yet.

Track-track. 20 minute sessions, 100mph corners, air temps in the 90's.

The NT-01 is more expensive than the Toyo.

Track tires and inexpensive - LOL, that's a good one.

I used the RA1 on my old Miata. I now use the NT01 on my Focus SVT. The RA1 isn't available in the size I need, and the R888 is substantially more expensive than the NT01.

Car is a Neon. The Falkens are inexpensive, I just am a little wary of how they will handle the heat.

I've priced the NT-01 several places and they are higher than the R888 every time. Where can I get a good price on them?

Used RA1s are out there and available. Should be able to get a decent set for $200 to $300 with lots of life left.

The best bet is usually to wander thru the paddock of the closest local club race with cash.

RA1's, I hear, wear like iron. If you buy a set you'll get your money's worth.
