I was wondering if anyone has tried to bundle two cars into a single sale, as in "Buy these two cars at this price", perhaps on eBay.
I'm thinking about selling both my Miata (surprise) and my WRX.
Anybody tried this?
I've never tried it but I think you'd lose money that way and severely limit your potential pool of buyers. How many people do you know who want to buy both a Miata and a WRX at the same time?

I have plenty of that for you! Done!
(Yes, your point was not missed, I'm being equally sarky).
If anyone would buy both at once, it would be someone from around here. How much for the pair? Will you break up the set?
I don't think it makes sense for two cars that on their own should be easily sellable. If you had 2 of the same where one is an almost runner, and the other is a parts car, then it makes sense to get rid of them both, but if I were you I'd just sell them separately.
My initial thought was that a bundled ad or package deal would attract more attention, and then someone would just make an offer on one of the cars individually.
But then, the more I thought about it, I came up with a couple of hypothetical options.
Let's take a semi-arbitrary number like $15,000, which is not necessarily my number, it just makes the math easier. I haven't even looked up the book values yet.
Also consider that someone who would enjoy a WRX might be the kind of person who could also enjoy a Miata. With a package deal, they can assign whatever value they want to either car in their head ($7500 each, $10k for the WRX and $5k for the Miata, $9k and $6k, whatever. You get the idea.) and it wouldn't make any difference to me as the grand total would be the same.
Another scenario could be someone who needs a new daily driver, would also like a track toy some day, but only had, say, $3000 to spend. It might be possible for him to get a $12,000 loan for just the WRX, and end up with two cars.
Still just speculative at this point.
If only we could have a >$2011 Classifieds section, I'm sure you could sell both easily on here. CTSubie is another good place to sell the WRX. The Corner-Carvers forum seems to have some similar stuff on it from time to time, as well.
I will trade you right now both for my GC body RS. Only a little rust. What do you say? I too want both. No way I can afford to take either off your hands.

Thanks, I had never heard of either of those. I'll check them out.
And, Jeez...we're practically neighbors!

Yes, it has a Torsen.
Nice! Feel free to PM me an asking price and mod list! Or just a link if you've already put it up elsewhere.
That combo would appeal to northerners - Miata for the summer, WRX for the winter, fun all around. I'd be interested except I don't have the $, nor parking for more than one car - so, the answer is Miata plus hardtop and snow tires for winter.

You don't know how much you're tempting me right now, I've always wanted a WRX as a daily driver. My E36 was picked up by its new owner today, but that money is going to be dumped into a savings account before I get tempted by another car
I'm sure you'll have no problem selling both, either as a package or separate.

I would be willing to sell you our WRX and Spinouts Miata for $10k.

I'm right across the river...

I agree. If you advertised them together you would mostly get offers, oddly enough just like what is happening in this thread, of people asking what you would take for one or the other of them.
