Got a buddy that picked up a C4 for AX/DD use.

Can someone point me to some ideal places for suspension info for that car? I'm looking for who the good companies are to deal with, what parts (dampers in particular) are known to work best on that chassis, etc, etc.

Muchas Gracias :)

I found my '92 C4 was extremely well balanced and easy to drive at the limit with stock springs and bilstein dampers. I was on 275 section width RA1's at the time, and had Z06 brakes (probably one of the most amazing features of that car - it STOPPED.)

Yeah, my buddy is pretty convinced he wants adjustables. I've been trying to sway him towards Konis, but he seems to think QA1s will do the job.

QA1's will work fine. Lots of folks run them and they do very well.

The trick with either is simply knowing what valving, oil weight and adjustment is required. So unless he has notes from someone with a similar car, driving style and similar courses he may find that he's complicating the heck out of his car.

i'm going to look for some bilsteins for mine. the original owner took them off and put monroe garbage on it before he traded it in.

i have seen some sweet coil overs that replace the monoleaf, but the only advantage i see to those is ride height adjustability, because the monoleafs seem to work very well.
