The firetrucks at Clark's Trading Post in NH are amazing!

Some were even horse-drawn.

For a while - as late as the early 1970s - you could buy and assemble a Model A from the J C Whitney catalog.

My father's 1933 Chevrolet Eagle Six had an all-steel frame, but the body sitting on it had a fair amount of structural wood at the perimeter and stress points.
