Im hoping some of our members from the great white north can chime in. What good cars or packages came to canada that usa didnt get? Not interested in cars that can be imported today but what was sold new there new?

Were Suzuki Swift GTI sold in the 'duh more years than they were sold in the states?
We got the old 80's 1200 Micra as well. 240sx were the same. Suzukis showed up here in the late 70's, first just the LJ80 mini ute, followed by SJ410, then SJ413 and the 3 cylinder car called the----. I first drove a turbo Suzuki in about 84.
Cultus? Seems vaguely rude...
1991 VW Passat wagon with a stick.
Not exactly "different", but....
The B13 Sentra was sold here in Canada up to '96 (The Mexican Taxi), but we never got the SE-R in the B13.
I think the B12 went later, too. There was overlap. If you bought a 2-door, you got the early chassis, a 4-door got the later chassis. Or something silly like that.
IIRC the Lada Niva (and other models) were available in Canada in the 80s and 90s.
Oh yeah I just learned canada got ladas like 3 days ago, does anyone know the extent of the models they received? I think a lada niva would be cool

We got milk bags in america to... wacka wacka wacka
Boob reference
Skoda.
Hyundai Pony.
A different Pontiac line up. In the '90s, the Pontiac Tempest was a Chevy Corsica with Pontiac badges.
Also a Pontiac Sunfire 4 door when in the US, it was only offered as a 2 door.
Nissan X-trail.
Lada Samara and Hyundai Stellar. Firefly/Sprint Turbo after 88
The newer Suzuki Swift. The Acura CSX. I'm pretty sure they got the Nissan Patrol over there too.

- We had the same 240sx.
- Nobody in North America got a pre-2002 WRX.
- We actually got the Evo later than the US. At the time we had a higher front bumper crash standard and the Evo couldn't pass it due to the FMIC.
- We had a fairly full range of Lada's - yes we had the Niva. I haven't seen one in years though.
I almost bought a B3 Passat Synchro with the G60 supercharged engine, a few years ago. It was in Montreal and I was going to head out and get it, but I couldn't get a U-Haul trailer in time and it sold.
We also had Dacia's for a short period as well as Innocenti's.
This was in the early 80's. I believe we had Mini Coopers to circa late 70's.
Canada got an oddball Dart with a Valiant front end and badging.
