I got an unsolicited email on my "public" email (which I use for lots of car stuff) from Monster. They are offering $300 a week for 3 months if I let them wrap my entire car. They aren't asking for a fee or anything weird, and there's no spelling/grammar errors.
Seem legit?
(And yeah, I'd totally let some brotato company make my Javelin look like Ken Block's for $3900!!!)
Call the phone number and see! It will become apparent pretty quickly whether you're speaking to a huge company or not. I would love to do that.

Yeah, seems weird for a scam; just keep what you reveal in line with your level of certainty about who you're dealing with.
I imagine they'll have some requirements about making the car visible? Miles driven, specific appearances? I mean, I'd let them wrap and unwrap my car for cash without question if it was just going to sit in my garage the whole time...
google the number and it would be as well. I'd respond asking for a rendering of said wrap for consideration
I vote scam. Just doesn't sound right.
In reply to Ransom:
I'd let them do it to my DD. $3900 would buy a lot of car stuff.
I don't know if it's a scam or not, but I'd vote to call them.
I've been wondering why this idea hasn't caught on faster with the proliferation of vinyl wraps, considering how much marketing already imposes itself in every aspect of our lives.

I agree on all counts, and would have a hard time turning down $3900.
That said, I am bothered a lot by how much marketing encroaches on every aspect of life, and on a shallower note, would be badly embarrassed driving around in a Monster ad.
So I'd probably take the money, but not be entirely happy about the situation
E36 M3, i'd let them wrap ME for $3900.

Who shows up on their book of faces. Also, there's other people from this week asking about the same email there.

Sounds more and more sketchy as time goes on. I'll hook you up with a pretty mean TalkStL.com wrap, but won't pay you for it. I think that is the best offer you'll get.

Scamtronic. I've gotten the same email before. It's not legit. No one pays to wrap cars of random consumers anymore.

Shoot a free wrap would still be cool! Not sure how effective it would be for you since I'm out here.

They say that everyone has their price. Now we know yours
Damn, seemed like it could be real at first, but who would send such a thing from a free email service?
There used to be and probably still are marketing companies that will pay to wrap your car. I looked into it years back, the car had to be less than 10 years old and in good condition and they only paid like $50 a month and it was like a 1 year contract, and they expect you to put a certain amount of miles on the car and park in the back of the lot etc.

Ben would sell himself for a set of tires.

Didn't he already? Or was that the Escort of Death? :)
Someone in my Facebook feed received a similar post on their FB page, but it also included to wrap your bicycle for $400/month.
Now WTF kind of marketing benefit would you get from wrapping the bike of a non-professional cyclist??? That was the dead-giveaway to me.

An original Mini with a "Mr. Big" (the chocolate bar) livery once entered my local autocross.
Hagen I was growing up, you used to see VW Bugs painted with Kool cigarette ads. Loved those. Only thing that would make a bug better was the Rolls Royce grill
Sounds like a scam. Run it down and if it doesn't shake out, ignore it. They may just take your keys to "wrap" your car and disappear it.
