Can't wait for Daytona!

Up late looking over the entry lists for the 24 and the Continental (formerly Koni) challenge this year, and it looks AWESOME!

There are a bunch of brand new cars this year in the conti challenge, and TONS of variety. I counted 8 unique models in the GS class, including all three major American muscle cars, probably the first pro race with true production Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers since the original trans am! (Yes, i know the old trans ams weren't exactly "true" production bodies, but still)

ST has 11 different models in so far. KIA even has a strong team running their new Civic si - erm, i mean Forte Koup... theres also Mazdaspeed 3s, a couple Jettas to go with the gtis, and all the cars that ran last year.

Anyone pick favorites yet?

Oh and i guess there's a 24 hour cockroach race going on the day after or something...

continental challenge entry list

I am getting pretty excited.

If you get up early enough, you will see this fatty wheeze his way through the 5K. (been training for 4 months, and I am still not much closer to being able to run the whole distance)

I did it last yr and the yr before (was a decent runner back in the day) (fat old and slow now) but the knees have informed me that I won't be running the race this yr..... might sign up to do the walk ... haven't decided..
