Some of you have way better regrets than I do, but I miss two:
my 71 MGB GT. Out of the 3 MGs I've owned and the 6 little British cars, it definitely wasn't the nicest, but it was the best overall somehow.
my 81 BMW 320is. It may have been the only rust-free E21 in the country, and still had the full toolkit.
Both were sold for a song when I thought I needed money. In the big picture, it wasn't much money, and I didn't need it that bad.

+!
I sold one last year... an 86 GLHS... I told myself I wouldn't sell...
Sold it and a deal on a Plasma cutter and a nice pre miller Hobart mig welder fell in my lap...
It wouldn't have been in the 'play' budget otherwise...
I am a hoarder like the rest of ya'll.... But I am trying to quit.

so yesterday at about 5pm i posted the following ad:

and five hours later i got an email from the guy who bought the car from me. craigslist is simultaneously the best and worst of the interweb.
The only one I miss is the 81 GTV6. It went to a good home and I really did not have the time, space or money to get it to where it deserved to be but still . . .

PUT UP OR SHUT UP, BEEEYOTCH!
My first RX-7. 1985 GS. 12-A with a 5spd. She deserved a whole lot better than me, but never complained a bit.

When I was in the Navy, as a young 19 year old lad around 1987, a friend offered to sell me his '84. I would have but having only driven about 8 months total, the 5sp and manual choke scared me. I still look back at that wondering what if...
My 89 240SX. It had rust, but at the time I was kind of scared about it and broke, and it got bad gas mileage so it had to go.
Now that I'm without a motorcycle to use up all my tinker-time, I wouldn't mind having a fun car again.
1969 Suburban 3 door, 1978 Toyota FJ-40, 1978 Blazer converted to a pick-up with 9" lift and 39.5" Super Swampers, 1973 VW Beetle, 1988 Ford Ranger (totally sentimental!), 1991 SJ-413 1969 Cougar XR-7.
Hey, were we supposed to name just one? If so, the FJ wins.

I pass a light green three door Suburban every day on my way to work. It's the only one that I've seen in at least a decade or so.

Oof. That really hurts.
I'm selling it tomorrow to a GRMer. Best damn car i ever owned. Not so much a performance machine but solid reliable transport.
Edit. Ok so that's not the only one. The crx and the jeep. I regret those.
I've always missed my '82 Pontiac Trans Am that I bought off my friends parents who were the original owners. It was a WS6 with 4 wheel disc brakes and hard top, no T-roof. It was auto but I had always planned to pitch the weak 305 and put in a small block 350 hooked to a 4 or 5 speed stick. Then college started and I needed to pay for tuition, bye bye Trans Am. Wasn't a fast car but with that car I started autocrossing, 20 something years ago. Now I'm about to purchase and pick up an '88 5.0 LX Mustang, 5 speed to relive some lost memories. Can't wait. I intend to hold onto this one...at least until something else comes along. Then cry about selling, such is the cycle of a car addict.

Incredible!!
Did you buy it? I've been thinking about doing the same thing - trying to find my old '93 GSi Storm. It's out east somewhere.
Anyone seen it around the NJ area?
All the dirt cheap 70s cars I had in the 1990s, like the $300 rust free 1973 Duster or the $200 V8 1978 Cutlass
1970 Boss 302 Mustang. I bought it in 1973 when I was a junior in High School. I had to sell it because I needed money in 1977. Bad mistake.

It's never too late! Once you go "wankel" you never.... well, I'll have to work on an ending for that...

I always loved those wheels.

I'd love to see a photo of that track roadster.
I wish that I had my first Porsche back. It was a royal blue 1967 911S. The first "S" cars to hit this country. Truth is that it was very tempermental, twitchy at anything above 70mph, and you knew that it was secretly plotting to kill you if you stopped paying attention for even a second. That's why I sold it and got a long wheelbase 1969 911E with injection. Why I wish that I had the S back is that these first 911S cars are worth a bucket load of money now...
