I think I read something about getting the center console wet would likely drip into circuitry responsible for telling the transmission computer which gear you'd selected.

I was about a minute away from buying that one I found on CL for $7500 with an overheating issue. It would have probably put me in the poor house. So now I'm looking at $7500 Buick Grand Nationals!
