Cars you regret selling

The recent thread on the new Civic Si has me thinking about the one car I regret selling, a 99 Civic Si in Electron blue with Tien coil overs, DC Sports suspension bits, intake, short shifter and header.

What car/cars do you regret selling?

Not a car, but I had a full Mugen setup on my S2000, bumpers/roof/exhaust/steering/spoiler ... everything and sold it. Unobtainable now, should've kept it. 

This was my first car, an 89 325is... H&R suspension, Racing Dynamics wheels, and a ton of fun. Sold it when I bought my first house, and now it's probably worth 3x what I got for it.

My Suzuki Swift GT. I bought it at an auction for $600 and took it to the Challenge. You never see them anymore.

In 1995 GF leases a new 1995 Honda Civic EX coupe. Black, manual trans. When lease ended, I bought it as a used car with about 40k   I loaded a lot of miles on it quickly so in 18months it had 88k.

I sold it for an off lease, 1996 Accord LX, 4cyl sedan with auto and only 36k. Nice car and all but boring.  That Civic was probably the single greatest car I ever had and I sold it too quickly. 

About 2 years later, I replaced the Accord sedan with a 1997 Nissan 240sx coupe (S14.) 

Sadly, I have learned, it's tough to keep them all. Some that we have owned but now no longer do: 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R, 1984 VW Rabbit GTI, 1986 Honda Civic Si, 1988 Honda CRX Si, 1988 Honda CRX HF (w/B16A), 1992 Honda Civic Si, 2000 Honda Civic Si, 1991 Nissan 240SX and probably a few others. 

all of them but the mazda2 and the 08 suburban.

Lots of them, including a '88 Grand Am with the quad 4 and some kind of sport suspension.  Was a fun car to drive at a time when they're weren't a lot of those.  Others - red '69 Firebird convert, '02 S2000, '95 Impala SS, '07 MX-5 MS-R, the Exocet, I could go on.  But there's always another Gotta Have It car in the future.

My 93 MR2 Turbo.

I miss it and I miss the gunmetal K1 wheels on it.

1987 CRX SI, 1991 MR2 Turbo, 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata and my  1973 Triumph Stag are the four that I miss the most. 

Probably will buy another Stag at some point in the future and perhaps a Mazdaspeed that is more streetable.

Hmm, my first 944 Turbo S, my E46 M3, both my E36 M3's, my G60 swapped GTi.  Sadly I just didn't have the money nor the space to keep them all.  I had a chance to buy back my swapped G60 GTi but someone had tried to turn it into a "sound off" car and had a body shop remove the rear 3rd quarter windows and replace them with welded in steel panels.  When I saw that I was no longer interested in having it...

There are many cars I've regretted selling for various reasons over the years but probably the one that hurt me the most was my '97 Volvo 850R.

I was tempted away by the siren song of a BMW E39 528i touring with a factory 5-speed manual, which was a worse vehicle in almost every single way and nearly bankrupted me during an already challenging period of my life.

Didn't realize just how great of a car this Volvo was until it was gone.

I will forever regret selling my 05 legacy gt wagon and our z71 tahoe.

My reasons made sense at the time for each and every one of them, but my 1999 Miata is probably tops for "I should not have sold that." Second is likely the Volvo 850 wagon, third is probably the 1966 Pontiac Bonneville hearse/ambulance. The Pontiac only falls to third because it needed so much work and I'm not sure I could have done it myself. If it was in better shape, it would definitely be first.

my first true "enthusiast car" was a 1989 Ford mustang convertible.  I purchased it from a family member with less than 60k miles at 18 years old.  I promptly upgraded a bunch of stuff making it entirely unreliable.  Supercharger with poor tune, insufficient cooling system, big gears, loose converter, old all season tires, etc.  The car was slow by today's standards but is the one car that I have promised if I ever found that particular one for sale i would buy it almost regardless of condition.  

This one. Numbers matching 1970 911S with Weber carbs and 67k miles on the odometer. Sold in 2006. A few years before the air cooled Porsche market exploded. Now a days.....

90, 91, and 89 240sx, 84&87 camaro. 88,89 crx. 84&86 ae86. 71, 74, s30 Z cars. 79&80 s130 280zx. 
 

most of those were bought for 500-1500, and sold for around $2,000.00, which was great at the time. I'd have a healthy savings if I'd help onto each one and sold today. 

None. I still own the Miata after 8 years. Everything else was cheap basic transportation and by the time I, and by that I mean New York winters, were done with it, it wasn't fit for selling, nor would I want it back. 

It would be easier to list the cars I didn't regret selling.  In the last few years I have only sold due to lack of storage.  

2011 cts-v wagon hurts the most.  Mint 92 foxbody 5.0 and 1994 Toyota sr-5 v6 4x4 are close seconds.

1988 crx, 04 tl 6-speed are missed as well.

1999 BMW M Coupe.  Bought it new and sold it with 55k miles.

I made the right decision to sell my 981 Cayman S, but I really do miss it.  The best car I've ever owned.

My first 914. 2 liter with the appearance package.  :(

A close 2nd would be my first AW11. No rust and I'd went through everything when I did the HG.

Next would be my '91 5.0 Mustang. Rust-free and I haven't found one that nice since (and it's just down the road being turned into a drag car).
