Over 4 years into it, I finally got a CEL in this thing.  P2138 Throttle Position Sensor / Switch D/E Voltage Correlation.

On my way to the Humane Society (again, same place the xB acted up) and it stumbled for a second, the CEL came on and a flashing red symbol, might have been a voltage thing or lightning bolt.  It drove fine after that, and coming home it was fine, even stopping for groceries.

I have a Unichip and a 500 Madness Go Pedal.  I'm wondering if it could have been a simple hiccup?  Probably clear the code with my adaptor tomorrow morning and see what happens.

Where's Tony when I need him?

There are two position sensors in the accelerator pedal for redundancy, and the computer monitors them for correlation.  If they stray apart from each other, the computer more or less says "Oh hell no" and goes into no-throttle mode.  Usually it is caused by a bad wiring connection/corroded wire causing one to drop out, unless it's a GM W-body in which case the pedal assembly has gone bad again.

The red warning light is supposed to indicate a electrical shock in a carburetor venturi, which is the heiroglyph for "electronic throttle problem".  Because "heiroglyph" is the gold standard for understandability while words in plain English are hard to read.

I'd assume that it is the aftermarket device you have plugged in to the pedal.  It is an extremely rare aftermarket anything that is built to OE-level quality standards.  Generally speaking, if there is something aftermarket plugged in, it's likely to be the cause of any weird problem.  (This also counts for those thrice-damned Big Brother insurance spy dongles, which are great for berking up CAN signals and causing all sorts of drivability issues)

Cleared the code this morning, drove 30 min to work no issues.  Hoping it's a hiccup, otherwise I'll try refastening the Go Pedal, or removing if it keeps up.

Over 4 years with no issues besides a replaced axle this winter, I had a local friend make a vinyl that said "Tony fixed it...".  hoping I didn't curse myself.
