And you didnt wave. Hmpf.
I'm up. Hotel bed sucks, didn't fall asleep until sometime after 3:30 and got up at 6:30. Must coffee
Yesterday morning I dropped off the baby with the babysitter on the shores of Lake Erie and continued out of town. That was about 9:45am.
At about 2:00 I made my first stop and that was in Charleston, WV. Gas and rest room. Ironically, I was at the exact same exit where two years ago I picked up the Honda Trail 70 which (disassembled) fit completely into the trunk of the Q45.
Somewhere in NC, south of Charlotte I needed gas again around 9pm. At that time, I fired up the laptop a seeked out a hotel. I chose one about 2 hours ahead.
At 11:30 I arrived at Exit 5 of SC (5 miles from the GA border.) I slept about par for a strange place (poorly.) I am just about to get up and S/S/S. Then it is 2.5 hrs to Jeremy's.
Unload some race tires out of my Prius and into the Probe. We will then go to the airport and pick up The International Secret Agent. From there to the junkyard before heading to Gville. My guess is 7pm in Gville.
Anyone leaving Thursday morning from the Daytona area? I will have a pretty empty truck bed and space for bodies inside if need be. Or if any of you on the road forgot anything I have a pretty well stocked garage.

Looking forward to seeing you again Friday morning. Im able to peel away from my event for a bit in the AM.
I'm about to start cleaning up and packing now since I am officially free of the wife & daughter; looking forward to a much needed mini vacation.
I'll be landing in Jacksonville around 9:30 tomorrow morning and will grab a rental car big enough for people or parts if anyone needs any assistance. My cell remains the same:
(2 one 5) 2 eight 0 - 0 seven 3 zero
I'm planning to get there at about noon to keep the parking lot build not-on-fire. See everybody there!
I'm at the intersection of I65 and I85 in Montgomery and have access to a LIFT or 2, welders, air tools etc as well as several friends that can tune, one with his own dyno at home. Call or text 334

Finally had to call it quits with our planned challenge car late Sunday when we found the replacement trans was not as advertised and wouldn't swap in. More than a bit disappointing given how much progress we made and how close it really was to being ready(-ish). Anyway, the new plan is something nifty we bought off craigslist yesterday to bring instead. Hope this car makes it there.
Sandwich break at rest area i-77 north of Charlotte. Hitting it in about 10 minutes and 1 fuel stop in SC will get me to Jacksonville to drop stampie's slicks off

Don't forget to register as last minute challenger.
We were already registered, so I just contacted Rick and updated our entry info, so no worries there. That said, I'm a bit disheartened having to substitute a different car for which the back story, budget sheet, build book, and personalization will all be woefully small. Still, we're going to our first Challenge event! WOOT!
Sitting at truck stop north of Jacksonville. Have to feed kids on way but should roll in a little after 10. Stampie now has drag slicks, look out
I live in gainesville, if anybody needs anything lmk, I was able to get the day off tomorrow so im gonna put some final touches on my challenge car then to the parking lot I go, Ill ride over there in last years $2016 car, as this years car is not resgistered and there are tons of cops everywhere do to the stupid nazi's.

I wanna get with you and pick your brain a little about autocross. Much easier in person and unfortunately getting Lil Stampie to bed interfered when you came over.
The Saab Ute just rolled into Auburn Al for the night. 5 hours tomorrow on the road, should hit the hotel 2-3-4 ish. See you all then!
We stopped overnight in Lexington and will be headed down I-75 soon. Hoping we have some turbo dodge experts in the parking lot when we get there
For those of you who missed it in the other thread you need to have adult beverages before you get there. The governor has declared a state of stupidity because a Nazi is speaking in Gainesville. Liquor sales are suspended.
You'll need to log in to post.
