Yeah, my last minute stuff still having it's ups and downs!
Anyone going to the challenge with a spare starter?
Looks like this
Alternately I'll try a parts store in the area.

Good luck with the parts store.
"What's the year and model?"
I just need one for a 350...
"What is it going into"
An MG
"What year MG?"
It's a 1986 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the V8
"Do you know the engine code?"

In reply to captdownshift (Forum Supporter) :
Lol. I also understand there's multiple bolt patterns, and the ones locally have absolutely nothing to compare to in stock.
thats for the Advance Auto Parts closest to the track
order online and use this code for 25% off:
CHRISFIX25
Edit: well, E36 M3! When I open it from my phone, it takes me to a generic advance auto parts list
I selected 1988 Chevrolet K 1500 And it came up with two reman's in store for the location closest to Gainesville raceway.
I found that location by googling "advance auto parts close to Gainesville raceway" then clicked on the map and chose the one that was closest.

I will be passing through Tampa, but not until *early* Thursday morning...

I'm in Riverview. Work in Bradenton. Leaving tomorrow evening. PM me if you want
I put a ran when parked BBC starter in my truck bed last night. No idea if BBC and SBC are the same.
I have one available for lend from a SBC from Tunatruck in Greenville SC if anyone is passing through and he still needs it. PM me
Old school Chevy starters come in straight and staggered bolt patterns. The straight is used with a smaller diameter flywheel. As long as you use the correct bolt pattern for the flywheel they're interchangeable between BBC and SBC.
