How do i value scrap sheet metal and aluminum that I had laying around, is it by weight or is there some other method?
u pick it. Choose something that sounds fair to you.
If it had a value (FMV), put a price on it. Weight would work.
If it was trash (like, you picked it out of a scrap bin), it may be worth zero.
Just don't claim your 4 replacement fenders, full cage, and billet aluminum dash were worth $2.17, unless you can prove it with a receipt.
