Challenge repair question

If a person is stupid enough to break a non wear part that was in perfectly good condition... Just because he isnt a mechanic and is just learning while working on his car in the driveway.

Any chance to make that budget exempt under the emergency repair/wear and tear clause?

You had a good one.  Go get another of the same (not a better one) and take no budget hit.  

Your penance though is you do have to endure the personal,  real money hit and time hit for this error.
