The answer would be Miata, wouldn't it.

Just pondering.  No one get excited.

Are you buying the adapter? I found an adapter from J series engines to nissan Z33/Z34 transmissions. The only other commonly found adapter I've seen is to a Miata transmission.

If you are making your own adapter KA, RX8, 300zx and T5 are probably going to be the easiest to find cheap manual transmissions besides the Miata options.  The Z33/Z34 trans are starting to get hard to find and pricey around me at least.

Whatever you do, don’t go w58. It is somewhat strong, has a Decent gear ratio set, but is the clunkiest transmission I’ve ever rowed.

There was a QuickTime bellhousing in the Holley clearance page for Honda v6’s...

Must be a local thing.  When you could find them, V8 T5s were $800-900, but they've all dried up.

I think you can still get new ones for $1200ish.  There's no point in going with a 4 cylinder T5, the ratios are garbage and they technically aren't strong enough for a V6.
