Expert driver Alan McCrispin is looking to hitch a ride down for the Challenge...He's in the Huntsville area.
Can anyone spare a seat for the trip down? He's got a ride back.

Per,
Thanks for posting this. Anyone passing through Chattanooga on I-75 or out of the Atlanta area can contact me with a PM and I'll reply back.
My family is driving down on Friday due to school conflicts and I'm trying to keep from having 2 cars in Florida to drive back to Alabama.
Thanks in advance, Alan

That's the route I should be taking. If things work out as planned, I'll be driving down on thursday and back up on sunday. Sorry, I'm staying clear of Alabama.
I'll be heading down from the Nashville area. How far out of the way would Huntsville be? Can you hitch a ride to Chattanooga?
Huntsville is 120mi straight south of Nashville just off I-65 and about 90ish west of Chattanooga on US-72.
16vCorey & oldtin: From Nashville It wouldn't be too far out of the way and I will be happy to pay gas and share driving.
Dollraves: Montgomery is about 6+ hours away and would leave me with a car way out of the way. Probably wouldn't work.

I did a trip map comparison between the I-75 route from Nashville to Gainesville and then routing through Huntsville and using roads I like to use that bypass Birmingham and Atlanta and the distance is shorter but about 30-45min longer, but the traffic delays are not counted in the cities. Also the heavy traffic on 75 south of Atlanta is bypassed.
