My 17 Subaru Crosscheck was in at the shop I use yesterday for an oil change and they recommended that the spark plugs be changed. Car was 110k on it. They quoted me roughly $700 all in for parts and labor for all. Is that the going rate for a job like this these days or does it seem a little high?
If it's OEM parts, the MSRP looks like about $30/plug and another $100 per coil. So $500ish for parts?
Did they recommend coils as well? $700 seems extremely high for plugs alone. Looks like a simple DIY job to me.
2.6 hours, $200 an hour is about $520 in labor, plus the plugs.
