I'm coming up on building an exhaust for my lemon. I have (bad) ideas and want to run the exhaust out the rear and around the IRS etc so I'll need quite a bit of pipe and bends. There are plenty of builder kits on ebay for cheap like this one, and many other seemingly exact copies. I can't see it being bad, but you never know. Has anybody used a kit like this? $75 shipped to my door is cheaper than driving to and buying it near me, because I live in the middle of nowhere.
I bought a $50 SS header for a Honda D series on the Bay, it's been on the car for 40K miles now, still looks great and hasn't failed yet. I am surprised because it was some kind of thin metal!
Similar kit from Amazon in 3 inch. Bought a few times. No regrets.
Aluminum dryer vent is even cheaper and doesn't need bent or welded....

Easy enough click to purchase!

BTDT! With the original engine we used dryer vent for a patch once. Could never get it to seal right to the turbo downpipe. Every time the engine misfired it would puff smoke back into the engine bay.
I bought a $217 manifolds back WRX exhaust for "Colin" because weirdly nobody makes an exhaust system for a Subaru engined Mini Cooper. I treated it as a supply of 3" stainless pipe and flanges. I was able to build an exhaust system with it and a 3" U bend from Summit, and still have the entire rear muffler assembly and the (amazingly crappy) catless up pipe.

Just finished fabricating a new exhaust system on the Molvo. These 90 degree SS elbows from Amazon made life a lot easier and the results a lot more elegant. Bonus they weld like a dream. VERY handy for snaking around the tight space between the diff and the A-arms.

I bought the larger kit, four of each bend and straight for my Armada. These kits come in 16 or 18 gauge 304 or 316.
Looks like I got my kit from Summit.
