King of them all is of course a shifter kart, and those are well under ten grand.

If you'd like to use it to burn up back roads instead of a kart track, how about a C5 Corvette? 345 hp, 3150 lbs, 175 miles per hour, and absolutely great on dirt.

Yeah, if you want obnoxious, rotary engines are good at that. But they're obnoxious in a good way. FBs are still pretty cheap.

It really doesn't get more obnoxious than something rotary powered. And I love rotaries. They very easily can be made LOUD.

I don't agree with half of those old school ticket rat rod things. I have NEVER, EVER seen a rat rod "git whild" on the street. Ever. They are always driven by some old man that stares at high school girls.
