Road race geometry setup. $5k for these things?! Why am I broke?!
I want that neon green roller, as an exoskeleton car. BAD. I want the other as well. BAD.
That is an awesome deal. correct me if I'm wrong but $5k is just a fraction of the cost of JUST the chassis? not to mention the fuel cell, rear end, steering, etc etc etc

Jiminy Christmas... When I get serious about wheel to wheel or track time, I really need to find out where these things fit into the sanctioning bodies' grand schemes. I know a high-zoot mega-motor belongs in there, but I bet they'd be a lot of fun with a relatively cheap V8...

Same car, or just similar?
Wow, that was awesome. At 8:15, coming out of turn 5 was pretty intense.
There is no such thing as a cheap race car.
You'd be surprised how often you come across deals like that. Even a circle track chassis can be converted for road-course use. Most of them aren't offset chassis so you just have to switch some of the suspension around.
Case in point:
This was a roundy-round racer. It's a 70's Super Street class Camaro chassis. Total money in this bad boy is probably around $5-6k. He runs a spool rear end too.
It's pretty quick too:

I need to get him on here. He's definitely one of us.
We saw one of these at the Ultimate Track Car Challenge. I didn't realize they'd be that cheap. That's a hell of a bargain, considering it hit 9th place with a 2:02 lap. Good stuff.

I just saw that thing at an NHMS track day last week!
Yeah, he was mad about having to add nerf bars to it.
Fun fact: he never had to shift on course. TORQUE!
Just throw an LSx into it and it'd be a great weekend warrior, HPDE, watever car and wouldn't be hard on maintenance.
Hrm... My race car was $400 AND it runs. Now, thats cheap.
