A little red children's sled, makes a great catch basin for coolant during a radiator change over. It has a low profile, and holds a ton of fluid.

Why does everything on a radiator have to be so damn sharp? My delicate accountant hands feel like I spent the night in the fight club.

That sounds like just the thing for a 911 oil change.

Mechanix's gloves over latex gloves, my friend. Keeps my hands hand-model clean (though you'll need to use some baby powder and let them breathe every now and then).

I'm not even going to comment on the amount of sissy-tude here

In reply to Woody:

Looks like you remembered to cut out the center of your oil pan. Many a person has said "oo! 12 quart pan! Perfect" and they end up spilling 7 of the 8ish quarts that come out when the pan drain can't keep up with the Mississippi river that erupts when you pull the drain bolt.

I use one of those white pans that are placed under the washing machine to catch any accidental overflow .

I prefer to go bare back, I just don't like the feeling of latex.......I kid, I kid. I have mechanix gloves, unfortunately I left them elsewhere. Honestly, I got cut up on my arms as much as anything. Didn't want my shirt sleeves to get caught on stuff.

As to where to get one in Georgia......walmart ship to store?

Oh, you can also put a pull string on it, so you can just slide it along the ground to pull it out from under the car.....as well as wherever you plan to re-locate the fluids.

My car was on ramps, so when I went to unhook the lower radiator hose, I was expecting a torrent of coolant. It was easy enough to raise one end of the sled with my free hand. Even at an angle it has enough capacity to hold plenty of fluid.

Change the word "sled" to "wagon" and you're good to go.
