Volvo, because if it has the set up to run a 305, a 350 is just a swap away. then t56, then 9" rear, then... it could go on forever
I like that lebaron. That's not something I often say.
Either there's more than one of them, or that LeBaron has been on Craiglist for a while - I'm pretty sure someone posted it here a year ago or so.
I would go with the Volvo. It has that Swedish muscle car cred. It also has a slightly better designed front end.
Truly a conundrum. As I am a wagon fan, and enjoy the Stealth Tweed of all things Volvo...I'm gonna have go with the scoff-worthy "somebody barely kept that POS going all of these years" sleeper Le Baron.

Its been for sale for a long time and has come down from ~7500 asking price to settle in the 4s. THe sad fact is you cant make a non-show-worthy k-car worth show-worthy k-car money just by putting a neon motor in it, even if you do a pretty damn good job.
Between the two I would get the Volvo, but that's really only because I already have half a dozen k-cars and I sometimes regret selling the only RWD Volvo I've ever owned, even if I did essentially trade it for two more k-cars and a pretty cool little CRX.

Volvo. The LeBaron is the ultimate sleeper in its rattiness, but why pay an extra $2750 for a crappier looking car?
