Is the 2.4 engine used in the Chrysker PT Cruiser the same engine used in the Mitsu Galant/Eclipse/Outlander?

Is there a good website for Mitsu performance....mostly the cars?

Nokindayes.

The 420a Chrysler engine is used in the PT Cruiser, Neon (and SRT4) Caravan as well as some Eclipses. The NEW Galant, Outlander and Eclipse is a 4G69 engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIVEC that is based off the same "platform" as the 4G63.

Depends on the generation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_4G6_engine#4G64

Seems very similar, the 4G64 and the Chrysler EDZ. The 4G69 should be very similar as well, except the MIVEC addition. However, historically the Mitsu's have been reverse rotation motors (like the older Honda's) so while many of the parts are the same, there are differences that can drive you crazy if you're not careful.

Yesterday, while looking for a "new" car, I ran across a '04 PT Cruiser and an '03 Outlook....or Endeavor. I went and looked them up on the dealer's website and realized both had a 2.4 engine. Was just wondering if they used the same one.

Fairly close I'd say.
